In all versions of Outlook prior to Outlook 2010, the mail from POP3 email accounts is delivered to a single Personal Folders (PST file) regardless of the number of Personal Folders in use and regardless of the number of email accounts.

Note - each IMAP account has its own "Personal Folder" and is not a part of this discussion.

With Outlook 2010, the default behavior is to create a separate Personal Folder file (PST file) for each POP3 email account.  This can be confusing to experienced Outlook users.

You may, however, configure Outlook 2010 to emulate prior versions (one Personal Folder receives all POP3 email), or to deliver email from multiple POP3 accounts to the same Personal Folder.... as follows:

A - Begin a new account from the "File" tab:

Outlook2010-AcctCreate75-P1

B - Select manual configuration of the account:

Outlook2010-AcctCreate75-P2

C - Select Internet E-mail:

Outlook2010-AcctCreate75-P3

D - Select the personal folder file to receive the email:

Outlook2010-AcctCreate75-P4

Notes:

1.If the "New Outlook Data File" option is chosen, Outlook creates a PST file with a name that contains the email address.
2.You may restore Personal Folder files (PST files) with OutBack Plus or Eazy Backup that are not defined in Outlook 2010. Then, after the restore is done, simply add the email account associated with the Personal Folder link it to Outlook.
